Not
everyone is running scared or clinging desperately to what is failing.
Yes, there are some who are charting the way forward with solutions

Lietaer will discuss the counter-intuitive finding on the relationship
between community values and money. He will touch on the stories that
led him to contribute to his latest white paper and new book published
in French in December 2008

Michel is best known as the founder of P2P Foundation, this is where I
first encountered his work. Since then I have become increasingly
interested in the implications of his work in the transformation of
organizations in the face of the level of innovation needed to address
our current challenges. This is one of the things Michel will talk
about when you join us.

Panel Discussion pt.1
Since
I have found discussions in the "media" largely less than satisfying
and the "official" focus typically cyclical- I invited a few people to
help take a look from different perspectives. Building on the Cultural
Fusion theme of Radical Inclusion we are joined by...
Atayne CEO/Founder -Jeremy Litchfield http://www.atayne.com, Musician,
Composer, & Artist- Eduardo Martinez
http://www.eduardomartinez.com, and Stephanie McKenzie
http://stephaniedmckenzie.com.
When undertaking an enterprise or project it is common to start by
surveying the context to define needs. In community development this is
called a needs assessment. In Cultural Fusion Experience it just a step
in the process. This is an important step towards formulating an
inclusive strategy. While my interest is art as the foundation let's
see what our insightful guests have to say.
The web and globalization are redefining community, leading to new
innovations in economic models and therefore it will have an increasing
impact on regional economic development. Whether we find new ways of
doing these assessments or simply find new ways to supplement what is -
it seems important to consider these issues in the context of the open
systems facilitated by the internet as well as the push towards
transparency that will shape the success of globalization.
Panelists will address five or six questions to illuminate the needs
within their industry and then each will have the chance to express
their ideas about the way forward.

A Chat with Beth Dunn
Today
I will interview Beth Dunn author of Social Climbers
http://www.socialclimbers.net
Her novel is akin to the Preppy Handbook for a modern world. What
happens to those "popular girls" from our school days? They became
characters in Beth's book.
Beth Dunn grew up and attended Etiquette school on Philadelphia's Main
Line. By the time she was 12, she'd learned that white gloves had
nothing to do with the weather.
As a married lady, she discovered that while ground rules for social
"acceptance" may have changed since her school days, the ladies
definitely hadn't. Sick of cliques, cruelties and mean girls grown up,
Beth Dunn was motivated to write about them.
A Chat with Eduardo Martinez

& beauty. It is in this place that we stand in complete balance. My
music & artwork are my contribution to help us reach that place
more often. Music has always been my main focus in life. Creating it,
listening to it, sharing it with others, savoring it. I feel blessed in
being able to share sounds & notes that once were just thoughts
& feelings inside my mind & heart.
